FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Why does the cream cheese need to be at room temperature?

This will help the cream cheese from being lumpy in the batter.

Could I use other chocolate chips?

You can really use any flavor chocolate chip you enjoy. Dark chocolate, white chocolate or even cinnamon chips!

Do I need to use sweetened condensed milk?

No. This cake is a great cake just as it is. You could leave it plain. Or you could sprinkle a little powdered sugar on top or maybe just a dollop of Cool Whip on there. You could even make up a simple icing made with powdered sugar and milk.

Can I use another cake mix flavor?

Yes! This can be made with vanilla, chocolate or even lemon cake mixes!

Does this cake need to be kept refrigerated?

Yes. Because of the cream cheese in the batter, it needs to be kept refrigerated.

Could this be made in a bundt pan?

I haven’t tested it. In theory it should work, but the cream cheese won’t swirl as well in the batter. You’d also have made sure your pan is well greased so it doesn’t stick
