Lazer Crush alcohol-free IPA, £1.60/330ml, Beavertown Brewery
A hazy IPA packed with tropical fruit flavors of passion fruit and mango with a light malty finish which gives it a slightly sweet edge. This would make a great partner to spiced dishes like jerk chicken or a Thai curry.

Brewed using Simcoe, Citra and Cascade hops, this is an impressive non-alcoholic hazy beer, fresh and light yet packed with hoppy flavor and hints of tropical fruit.
San Miguel 0.0 alcohol-free lager, £4/pack of 4, Waitrose
An easy-drinking amber lager with a smooth, rounded mouthfeel and a nice malty sweetness which gives it extra body. Would make a great partner to a smoky chorizo stew.
Estrella Galicia 0.0%, £26.73/12, Amazon
This pilsner-style beer has well-rounded flavor and gentle bitterness. Crisp and winningly chuggable.
Brooklyn Brewery Special Effects, £23.95/12, Beer Hunter
This full-bodied, amber-style brew is one of the best non-alcoholic beers out there, zesty, hoppy and richly flavored – you can’t tell it’s booze free.
Guinness Draught 0.0% Alcohol Free Stout, £4/4, Morrisons
This 0% version of the original draft stout pulls off the amazing feat of tasting pretty much identical to the real thing. Well balanced with the classic malty, chocolate and coffee flavors intact and a thick, creamy head on pouring – decant into a pint glass for the best experience.
The Wild Beer Co Grapefruit IPA Soda, £1.65/330ml, wildbeerco.com
We loved this super-refreshing 0.3% ABV beer which features vibrant, juicy citrus notes as well as crisp hoppiness.
Krombacher Weizen Wheat Beer, £11.99/6, The Dry Drinker
One for fans of German wheat beers, this refreshing o.5%ABV brew has that classic full-bodied, fruity wheat character.
Lucky Saint 0.5% Unfiltered Lager, £21.95/12, Beer Hunter
A crisp pilsner-style lager with a tiny hint of malt which rounds it off nicely. We love the chunky retro glass bottle as well. Serve chilled with a burger.
Mikkeller Drink’in the Sun, £18.64/8, Dry Drinker
This 0.3%-ABV American-style wheat ale is a bright, sunny beer with gentle hoppiness and a vibrant grapefruit and peach character. Try drinking with a slice of orange.
Big Drop Pale Ale, £2.49/330ml, Beer Hawk
Dry-hopped, lemony and piney, and really refreshing, this is a classic West Coast pale ale (0.5% ABV) that is very close to the real thing.
Freestar 0.0% Alcohol Free Beer, £2/330ml, Ocado
This lager-style beer is fresh and citrussy with a little hint of bitterness on the finish. The production process is also environmentally friendly, using 80% less water and creating 70% less waste than the industry standard. Serve super chilled with a bowl of spicy chilli or some tacos.
BrewDog Nanny State, £13.92/8, Dry Drinker
A dependable drink when you are out (most bars stock it). At 0.5% ABV it packs in all the citrussy, piney flavors you’d expect from a US-style hoppy ale.
Freeride, £2/330ml, Magic Rock
Cult Huddersfield brewers Magic Rock know how to punch up the flavours. This vegan tropical pale ale has plenty of refreshing mango and passionfruit with a little hoppy bite. At 0.5% it’s perfect for all day summer drinking.

Small Beer Dark Lager, £2.15/330ml, Ocado
A super-refreshing but complex 1% ABV beer. Pours dark like a stout but drinks really lightly with lovely background notes of coffee and chocolate.
Days Pale Ale, £25/12, Days Brewing
We were impressed with this zero-alcohol vegan pale ale from Scottish booze-free brewery Days. Expect tropical notes and a pleasingly rounded texture and full body. Try their lager too, which is crisp and chuggable without being thin and watery.
Lowlander 0.00% Wit Beer, £15.92/8, Dry Drinker
Brewed with discarded orange and lemon peels from the bar industry, this is a standout wit (flavoured wheat) beer. Zesty, refreshing and complex it’s an incredible beer whether you are Dry Janning or not!
Heineken 0.0, £11.95/12, Beer Hunter
This won’t win any awards for complexity but the classic lager flavor will definitely hit the spot if you are faking it in Dry Jan. Perfect with a curry and the sugar level is nice and low. A chugger.
Vault City & Mash Gang – Tahiti Treat Session Sour 2.5%, £3.50/440ml, Vault City
Bringing together the flavors of a piña colada and a dash of pineapple, lime and rum, Edinburgh-based Vault City has catered to lower-strength beer fans without compromising on the refreshing bitterness of a higher-ABV beer. This is thanks to the hops and light sourness that come from its house-mixed cultures.
